A Framework for Aligned Work

The 5D Cycle

Rate yourself across the five roles — Dreamer, Doer, Delegator, Developer, Distributor — and get a personalized plan for where to do more, and what to hand off.

The Five Roles

The cycle runs clockwise: Dreamer → Doer → Delegator → Developer → Distributor, and back to dreaming again. No single person carries all five well — that's the point.

The Founder's Trap: Stuck as a Doer Pay close attention here, because this single misalignment accounts for roughly 75% of what goes wrong in companies. Most organizations are built by a great Doer who never stopped doing. As the organization grows, the cycle starts to demand a Delegator and a Developer, but the founder stays locked into the work they know best. Everything bottlenecks at one person, growth stalls, and stress radiates to the whole team. Recognizing this trap, and stepping out of it, is often the most important move a founder can make.

Rate Yourself

For each role, set three sliders from 1–5: how much you enjoy it (Strength), how much time you actually spend there (Reality), and how much your organization needs it right now (Needed). Be honest — self-awareness is the whole game.
